Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Solar Panels UK uses your personal information when you visit this website or ask us for a quote. Last updated: 30 October 2026.
Who we are
Solar Panels UK is responsible for your personal information. You can contact us by calling 0151 480 1428 or writing to Solar Panels UK, 72 Hollowcroft, Stockbridge Village, Liverpool, L28 4EB.
What we collect
When you complete a quote or survey form, we collect the details you enter. Depending on the form, these are your name, phone number, email address, house number or name, postcode, property type, monthly electricity bill range, how you would like to go solar, the system size you chose in a roof estimate, and your preferred survey date and time.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a survey and prepare your quote. We do this to take steps you have asked for before entering a contract.
- To carry out and support your installation if you become a customer. We do this to perform our contract with you.
- To keep records we need for our legal, insurance and accreditation obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have agreed to that.
Who we share it with
If you ask to be matched with installers, or your postcode is outside our installation area, we pass your enquiry to a maximum of three MCS-certified installers so they can quote you. They use your details under their own privacy policies.
We also use service providers who host this website and handle our email. This website loads its fonts from Google, which receives your device's IP address when a page loads.
When you ask for a roof estimate, we send your house number or name and postcode to Google to find your roof. Our server sends these rather than your device, and we do not save the roof data Google returns. Google handles the address under the Google Privacy Policy.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not lead to work for up to 12 months. We keep customer records for up to 6 years after the work ends, or longer where a guarantee or the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop or limit how we use it. You can also ask us to move it to another organisation, and you can object to how we use it. Some of these rights depend on why we hold the information. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies for advertising or analytics. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
How to complain
If you are unhappy with how we have used your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) through its website.
